Alfie, The Snow Monkey

A snow monkey vacations in Bellaire, Ohio
Alfie the Snow Monkey APRIL 1988 Alfie the Japanese Snow monkey escaped from the Pittsburgh Zoo. He made his way across the rivers and was spotted for several months in area residents' backyards. All the while, animal control experts tried in vain to capture him and return him to the zoo. He was then spotted in and around Bellaire, and finally captured in someone's yard in Bridgeport, Ohio. He was returned to the zoo and was put briefly in a special display in the children's area of the zoo. He now resides in another zoo in another state.
