History series continues with Tom Buckley on March 11th

On March 11th at 6:00 p.m. Tom Buckley, Adjunct Professor at Belmont College, presents, "A Soldier for 100 Days: The170th Ohio National Guard Infantry.” This NGI was made up of men from Belmont and Harrison counties, which served in the defenses of Washington and Harpers Ferry and participated in two battles and several skirmishes.  This free event is open to the public.  Light refreshments are also served

Tom Buckley                                                        Prichard House, Kernstown VA

 

Mr. Buckley graduated from Union Local High School in 1969 and graduated from Ohio University with a BA in History in 1997. He is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Belmont College where he teaches History. He is past-president of the Ohio Valley Civil War Roundtable and the moderator for the Belmont College Civil War Discussion Group.

He resides in Flushing with my wife, Lois Kemp Buckley.
