Merry-Go-Round, said to have been handmade by Joseph M. Jenkins, a blacksmith and carriage maker from Bellaire, Ohio. It was run by a Steam Jenny.

(Photo caption) - "Thirty-seven years ago the late John T. Flynn, the town's most colorful postmaster, was head of the local institution.  Still in the postal service here are several who were then connected.  Some of the above group have retired, one has moved to St. Clairsville and others have died.  Styles of clothing have changed greatly since that time, it is indicated in the above prized picture of the group.

"Will look for you girls down after New years so don't disappoint us.  Hope you are all well.  Tell Joe we want her to be able to talk some when she comes down.

"My Grandmother was Lena R Jones. Her father worked for an oil company, recovering old oil wells. They lived in several towns and cities around the area of NE Ohio and the N panhandle of WV. She worked for a time in one of the pottery factories in Columbiana Co. She lived her married life in Newport, Washington Co. Her father retired to live in Mingo Junction and died there In April 1931. Her older brother Charles/Charlie Richard Jones d 1951 and is buried in Wintersville, Ohio."
