Kids and Teens

There is lots to do in the children's department at Bellaire Public Library! Bellaire Public Library offers many free programs throughout the year for children of all ages. If you would like to be added to our children's programming e-mail list to keep up-to-date with events for children and teens, please click here. You can also keep an eye on our Facebook page, or stop in the library for a monthly calendar.

Enjoy stories, songs, games, crafts and more at Toddler Time on Wednesdays at 10:30 AM. Toddler Time is for ages 3 and under. We have a new theme each week. We have a lot of fun!

Preschool Hour is held each Friday at 11:00 AM for ages 3-5. We will explore a new theme each week. We have a great time reading, singing, playing and creating together.

Students from Bellaire Elementary School and St. John Central Grade School will be joining us at the library on Tuesday, May 10th, for a visit with Ohio author Jennifer Maschari. Jennifer released her first book, a middle grade novel titled The Remarkable Journey of Charlie Price on February 23, 2016. The novel has received a starred review from School Library Journal. Jennifer will release additional stand-alone books in 2017 and 2018 through her publisher, Balzer+Bray (a division of HarperCollins). You can visit Jennifer's website for more information. SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for teens 13+. Sync provides 2 free audiobook downloads each week from May 5, 2016 - August 17, 2016. All you need to access the free audiobooks is the Overdrive App on your phone, tablet or computer. Simply visit the Sync website every Thursday during the summer to download that week's audiobooks and they are yours to keep! Stop in and ask Miss Brooke if you need any help getting the free Overdrive App or the free audiobooks. Audiobooks are a great way to read while hanging out at the pool, riding in the car, or doing chores.
