The Bellaire Public Library and the Great Stone Viaduct Historical Education Society have teamed up to bring A Winter Local History Series for the Ohio Valley Community.

On January 9th, at 6:00 p.m. Attorney Daniel L. Frizzi, Jr. will begin the series with a presentation on the “Glass City"

Attorney Frizzi, of Bellaire, Ohio is a 1974 graduate of the Ohio University College of Business.  He earned a Juris Doctor Degree in 1977 from Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.  For the past 35 years he has engaged in the private general practice of law in Belmont County, Ohio.  Attorney Frizzi has authored two books written on topics relating to Belmont County Railroad History with a strong emphasis on Pultney Township where significant railroad operations have occurred over the past 158 years.   He has written articles for the B & O Historical Society Magazine, “The Sentinel”, and local history publications, as well as given public lectures on a variety of local historical topics at the Oglebay Institute,  Wheeling B & O Convention, Civil War Roundtables, and other Historical Societies and business organizations.  He was awarded the Daughters of the American Revolution Historic Preservation Award in 2006, and he has been honored by the Ohio Historical Society with Local History Achievement Awards in 1994 and 2004.  He is a member of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Historical Society, the Belmont County Historical Society, and the Ohio Historical Society Local History and Museums Division. He presently serves as Chairman of the Great Stone Viaduct Historical Education Society, and is a member of the Adjunct Faculty at both Wheeling Jesuit University and Ohio University Eastern as an instructor of Business Law.

Attorney Frizzi' will also be presenting on February 20th.  His topic is the "River Crossings of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad".
